Like the profession, the Association's journal evolved and underwent several changes over the past years. The first official journal publication was started in 1980 by Joseph Wong, a graduate from New Zealand and currently working in private practice. It was called the Corpus Callosum, and was a quarterly publication consisting of research articles, literature reviews and other regular features. Because membership of the Assocation was small at that time, it was too expensive to be printed. Hence, all issues of the Corpus Callosum were published using regular and computer word processing, sent to the photocopiers and bound by the members of the Editorial committee themselves.

In 1984, Goh Ah Cheng, another graduate from New Zealand, took over the editorship of the Corpus Callosum from Joseph Wong. In that same year, the last of the series was published in the Volume 5, No 4, June 1984 issue. At exactly that same time, the first issue of the Journal of the Singapore Physiotherapy Association (JSPA) was launched by its founding editor, Goh Ah Cheng. However, to acknowledge the existence of the Corpus Callosum, the first issue of JSPA was numbered as Volume 6, No 1, June 1984. The JSPA was a biennial publication, and consisted of research articles, literature reviews and other regular features. The main difference, though, was that it was printed rather than photocopied. The JSPA was managed by several other editors through the years and was continued, off and on, for many years until its last issue in December 1996 (Vol 17, No 2).

In March 1998, the Association launched a brand new journal entitled Physiotherapy Singapore. Its founding Editor-in-chief, Beverley Chok is a graduate from Melbourne, and had recently completed her Masters degree at Sydney University. Together with two other co-editors, Wong Wai Pong, a graduate from Queensland, and Goh Ah Cheng, the journal Physiotherapy Singapore continues the same tradition as its predecessors. However, rather than continue with Volume 18, it was decided by the editorial team to start afresh with Volume 1, No 1 to signal a more mature and professional publication. Today, Physiotherapy Singapore is a quarterly publication which is indexed by Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) print and database index, the Physiotherapy Index and AMED, and EMBASE (Excerpta Medica).
