With effect of July 2005, there will only be one term of membership (currently, there are 2 terms). Each membership term will be for 2 years with the fee remaining at $100 per annum. This means that members who renew or sign up for membership in Jul 2005 will pay $200 for 2 years of membership. This is in line with the introduction of the continuing professional development (CPD) scheme.

For renewal and new applications in Jan 2005, the fee will be $150 for 1.5 years of membership so that this group of members will be able to start their next term of membership in July the following year.

Student who are members for at least 2 years can sign up as SPA members within 2 months upon graduation and get their administration fee of $40 waived.
