Learning objectives

  1. Discover the standard indication list of treatment that can be performed with radial shockwave therapy.
  2. Learn why there is a difference between manufactures with regards to the power output of a radial shockwave machine.
  3. Learn if there is a minimum threshold power requirements to achieve clinical results when using radial shockwave therapy.
  4. Explore research that demonstrations how integration of extracorporeal radial shockwave therapy and exercise provides a superior- results compared when used in isolation.

Biography:  Australian trained Physiotherapist, and Accredited Exercise Physiologist, who is Internationally trained in shockwave therapy by the ISMST.  He is a Member of the APA, ESSA and the ISMST.  He has been the Shockwave SDCA trainer for EMS Australasia for the past 3 years. Also, a Shockwave clinical expert and trainer for Back In Motion Health Group for the past 8 years and a Clinical adviser for shockwave therapy for Healthia Limited the past 12 months. Key Opinion leader for EMS Australasia past 5 years and 13 years clinical experience with radial shockwave therapy.

Demonstration of the treatment of OA of the knee

Demonstration of treatment of a tendinopathy

4:35 - 4:50 pm Presentation - Medical advances in shockwave therapy, current research in new areas including, myology, neurology and cardiology
4:50 - 5:50 pm  Q & A session
