Early Mobilisation (EM) is the cornerstone in the rehabilitation of neurosurgical patients. There are challenges that come along the way while performing EM. Hence an understanding of the clinical decision making process in safely mobilising this group of patients is an integral part of rehabilitation.
1)To understand the precautions and contraindications of EM of neurosurgical patients in the acute setting
2)To examine the reasons for the low uptake of EM in acute neurosurgical unit with considerations of barriers and facilitators
3)To discuss the clinical decision making algorithm in determining the appropriateness of EM in neurosurgical patients.

This webinar will focus on transdisciplinary models of care in allied health. At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to
a) outline the characteristics and outcomes of a transdisciplinary model of care,
b) summarise evidence on the efficacy of a transdisciplinary model of care,
c) consider the facilitators and barriers of a transdisciplinary model of care.
